Body Language Cheat Sheet2/25/2023 One of the most powerful ways of communication among humans is body language. Posture, position, conscious or unconscious movement all play an important role in transiting information. Even when reading about them, our brain is programmed to recognize gestures and associate them with certain messages. Writers often overlook this factor, but it can become an important tool to show how characters feel and what they think. Adding body language to your story will give an extra layer to your characters. This is a list of fifteen body language cues and what they represent, plus how to describe them. Keep in mind that all of them are context-specific, and can work differently if not placed on an accurate scenario. Uneasiness:
