Snowclones as Collective Poetry4/19/2023 If you’ve been sailing through the internet long enough, you will encounter multiple template sentences repeated through a series of contexts often with a humorous tone. Like:
If I had a nickel for every time ___ I would have 2 nickels, which isn’t much but is weird it happened twice. Recently, in search of pieces which are eligible for publication, I have been editing some stories I wrote over a year ago. I have reviewed my techniques, looked at my characters from new angles, and I have looked at my screen both in awe and in confusion.

Our trans future seems now more bleak than ever, therefore positive trans representation where we are not only resisting but living joyfully is one crucial act of rebellion. Hudson once said; literature is a fundamental expression of life through the medium of language. It is quite enthralling to be able to experience the reality of life through a heightened expression (of language). Literature is the foundation of life. it focuses on life of man and man’s soul in general. It expands your thinking and power of reasoning and makes you feel ‘validated’, ‘connected’ and ‘accepted’ with people all over the world.
I am tired of a culture so demanding it may sometimes feel I am not doing enough. It is easy to compare your progress with everyone who tells you about theirs. From social media accounts whose names I have forgotten to close friends of mine. Because no, I am not writing thousands of words a month, not editing every piece I have ever written. Not submitting to lit mags. Not even opening a document to write anymore. Because I am busy, or I don’t feel like it. Because I am simply taking a moment to try and catch my breath to rest.
