Hudson once said; literature is a fundamental expression of life through the medium of language. It is quite enthralling to be able to experience the reality of life through a heightened expression (of language). Literature is the foundation of life. it focuses on life of man and man’s soul in general. It expands your thinking and power of reasoning and makes you feel ‘validated’, ‘connected’ and ‘accepted’ with people all over the world.
I am tired of a culture so demanding it may sometimes feel I am not doing enough. It is easy to compare your progress with everyone who tells you about theirs. From social media accounts whose names I have forgotten to close friends of mine. Because no, I am not writing thousands of words a month, not editing every piece I have ever written. Not submitting to lit mags. Not even opening a document to write anymore. Because I am busy, or I don’t feel like it. Because I am simply taking a moment to try and catch my breath to rest.
Why We Need Religious Representation3/29/2023 Representation matters. Every community of writers and readers should acknowledge this. We advocate for representation of various groups, because we know how important it is for audiences to see themselves in books, cinema, art, music, and media in general. As allies, we support each other in this fight, independently of which group we belong to. We know in our bones that diversity is not something that should become the standard. This is why I am asking for healthy religious representation.
How to Write Literary Fiction3/29/2023 Literary fiction is a hall mark of distinction in the literature of any language. If we specifically talk about English literature, then each one of the literary fiction from Pride and Prejudice to Anna Karenina, tops the bar as the writer’s make ample use of their intellectual fertility to get the gems of wisdom out on their works. So, in that case, literary fictions get a bit hard to nail. However, you need not worry as here are a few tips and tricks that can help you from slipping onto any blunders while you write one:
If there is one book that I had been yearning to read for the longest time, it was Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I love female-lead classics which show the daily life of characters. Classics which explore romance, family, and friendships through the simpler things in life, like going on a walk in spring and drinking tea while reading a book.
And So The Ivy Grows by Mira Peregud3/22/2023 Review by Ezaan Kuai
Between a corrupt government and a morally grey rebellion, which side would you pick? With a desire for change but a lack of experience, Amara tries her best to fight for her cause while discovering new things about herself and the world. From the many characters to the exploration of governance, And So, The Ivy Growsis an ambitious standalone fantasy novel that hits the mark. The best characters are complex ones. Personalities that keep the readers guessing, attitudes that defy the norm and even questionable morals. When such a character narrates a story, the audience immediately feels intrigued.
An unreliable narrator is a voice that tells the story in unconventional ways, mostly by misleading the reader. It is an almost personal point of view, and its flaws are highlighted. It can also be a character who is part of a story, or an outsider. Oftentimes, the reader does not know who is the voice when it comes to unreliable narrators. After all, they cannot trust it. Life Lessons To Learn From Disney Movies3/15/2023 From Cinderella’s lost shoe to Ariel’s newfound love, Disney movies never fail to entice us. They have been a perfect inspiration for people of all ages. These movies not only provide us with glittery visuals but also impart a message of universality. Here are a few important life lessons that I personally learnt from the movies and I want you to ponder over them too.
Facial Expressions Cheat Sheet2/25/2023 One of the most important parts of nonverbal language is facial expressions. They are universal signs that human beings have adapted to and easily recognize, even since they are babies.
